Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) professionals should more often use scientific evidence in daily practice. Progress has been made in evidence-based decision-making, but there is a lack of supporting facilities helping knowledge translation in practice. Elements of such a knowledge infrastructure are scientific research, systematic reviews, practice guidelines, virtual libraries, and databases providing available knowledge. Good learning materials are needed for the training and education of OSH professionals. International collaboration can help build the infrastructure needed.
