Basic Occupational Health Services in Iran, for workers in agriculture

Agriculture as one of the most hazardous sectors of industry causes many occupational accidents and diseases. Zoonotic agents, dust, climate, noise, vibration and chemicals are widespread hazards and risks. Iran has a well-structured health care system. Basic health care services are available to the entire population. Occupational health services are mainly integrated into the health network. The article describes the health care system and basic occupational health services (BOHs) available to more than 5000 agricultural enterprises with more than 8000 employees in the  south of Iran. the first author is Ramin Tabibi.
