The Center for International Health of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany, hosted its first Occupational Safety and Health symposium in Munich, 16 March 2019. In this high-level international event current global challenges in the diagnosis and management of work-related respiratory diseases were addressed.
Frank van Dijk from LDOH held a lecture on Occupational Health systems focusing on the innovative power of online information & education and on basic occupational health care forms realized in a variety of countries. Numerous examples were given. Both innovations are urgently needed to inform, educate and care for the 85 % of all workers in the world that have no professional support in occupational health and safety.
