Video of ICOH symposium in Zagreb, Kroatia on Education in OSH (2017)

The Symposium Education in OSH, emerging trends and unmet needs” was held in Zagreb, Croatia from 26th until 28th October 2017, organized by the ICOH Scientific Committee Education and Training in Occupational Health, in collaboration with the committees on Rural Health and on Effectiveness in Occupational Health Services. The foundation LDOH was a main co-organizer of the Symposium. The event included 43 oral and 20 poster presentations and was held under the auspices of the Croatian Institute for Health Protection and Safety at Work. More than 90 participants coming from 25 countries discussed various topics.

Important issues were OSH education and training, development of OSH in agriculture, and experiences in Basic Occupational Health Care. Education and training was discussed over the whole range of workers and managers, union representatives, students, OSH experts, agricultural experts, family physicians and community health workers.

Representatives from important international organizations joined in the activities: the ILO  International Training Centre in Turin, the World Organization of family physicians (WONCA), the European Association of Schools in Occupational Medicine (EASOM), the SACURIMA project on safety culture and risk management in agriculture, and the European Network for Education in Occupational Safety and Health (ENETOSH).
